Through collaboration between interdisciplinary research groups and by drawing on a range of competencies, the department addresses crucial issues such as the relationship between the arts and politics, digital transformations, sustainability and processes of social innovation.

Research activities are carried out in line with the objectives of the Departmental Strategic Plan, following a structured programme of progressive actions, which are monitored to ensure quality, transparency and impact.

Great emphasis is placed on international scientific publication and on supporting young researchers, including through grants and collaborative projects. This commitment combines scientific excellence, global openness and dialogue with society.
