Born in Bologna with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region, SOLO is a unique advanced training course in the national scene, with a pool of teachers chosen among the most qualified and established concert players at international level. SOLO is aimed at talented young soloists, and focuses on five instruments: violin, cello, flute, oboe and clarinet. Courses are held by five high-level professors, among the most appreciated in the international arena.
SOLO is the result of a partnership between three important institutions: the University of Bologna – Department of Arts, the Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna Fondazione and the Fondazione Scuola di musica “Carlo and Guglielmo Andreoli” of Mirandola (Modena). The University takes care of scientific coordination, assigning university professors of lectures magistralis; the Academy provides the premises for the lessons (starting from the prestigious Mozart Room), the pianos and its precious historical archive; the Fondazione Scuola di musica “Andreoli” guarantees technical and organizational assistance.
